Cyclodextrin “buckets” trap odor-causing molecules
Exuderm OdorShield contains cyclodextrins — naturally occuring, non-cytotoxic molecules that help absorb odor. Cyclodextrins are bucket-shaped molecules that attract and trap odor-causing molecules in the dressing

Exuderm Odorshield makes charcoal-based dressings obsolete
Another type of of odor control dressing are charcoal-based dressings. Unfortunately, charcoal dressings don't work well on exudative wounds. Their odor-absorbing properties are deactivated by the proteins in wound fluid. Exuderm OdorShield is designed to absorb odors in the presence of wound exudate; plus it's more conformable, absorbs more fluid, and requires no secondary dressing.
