Built-in safety features for peace of mind

A safety-stop feature helps reduce the risk of serious injury should a hand or other body part become caught between the bed frame and surface. A second safety feature is the bed’s low height of 7.25", making it an ideal bed for Alzheimer’s patients and any other resident at risk of falling. Finally, battery backup keeps the bed functioning in the event of a power outage.

Minimize the risk of back injury during resident care

The Alterra 1232’s maximum height of 26" makes it easy to care for residents while helping to reduce the risk of back injuries. Plus, the bed moves from its lowest to highest height within 47 seconds and without any horizontal movement, eliminating wall damage!

Maneuver smoothly and transport at any height

The Alterra 1232 is equipped with eight strong, 360-degree casters, four of which lock into place. These casters, coupled with the bed’s advanced high/low mechanism, make rolling the bed easy at any height.

Manual Model 1000 Bed

Medline’s manual bed offers an economically appealing alternative with the durability and strength of an electrical bed. The specially designed cranks will not scratch floor panels. This bed is a well-built, low-maintenance manual bed that is economical enough to be used throughout the facility.
